Meet Our Partners

Just like the ACTIVATE! Network – our organisation is supported by incredible people and entities. We build and strengthen communities – together – sharing a common vision that young people have boundless potential.

The ACTIVATE! Organisation has been funded and supported by KfW and DGMT since our inception in 2012. Without the generous investment from these organisations, the goals we set out to achieve would not have been possible. For that, we extend a heartfelt thank you to our sponsors who have been committed to seeing the youth of South Africa realise their passions in the pursuit of impactful, positive change.

Our partner – the ETDP SETA – shares our dream of growing the capacity of youth to broaden their skills and knowledge, develop meaningful connections with others, and embracing a mindset of transformation.

The ACTIVATE! Academy exists because the ACTIVATE! Network – a powerful youth entity – has the potential to change the lives of others and create a future that is ultimately worthy of all our longing.

ACTIVATE! CHANGE DRIVERS, since its inception in 2012, has created a network of almost 5000 young people who have emerged as a new social, political and economic force driving positive change in their own lives and in their communities. The ACTIVATE! Network continues to expand its reach and influence in various sectors across the country.

DGMT is a strategic partner and investor, seeking to connect people and ideas and spark innovative solutions to old challenges. DGMT holds principles of collaboration, open communication and transformation as part of its overall mission.

ETDP SETA seeks to promote and facilitate the delivery of education, training and development as well as contribute to the creation of employment opportunities especially for those previously disadvantaged.

KfW Development Bank “has been helping the German Federal Government to achieve its goals in development policy and international development cooperation for more than 50 years. Our goal is to help our partner countries fight poverty, maintain peace, protect both the environment and the climate and shape globalisation in an appropriate way.”
